DES MOINES, Iowa - Hot air balloons won't be flying over downtown Des Moines today, but weather permitting they will on Tuesday.
The balloons have been grounded this morning due to high winds.
The 'Flight Over Des Moines' happens the week leading up to the National Balloon Classic in Indianola, which takes place July 26 - August 3 in Indianola.
Officials will be working with the National Weather Service to figure out when it is safe to fly.
