RAGBRAI Day 4: From Indianola to Centerville

Early wave of cyclists leaving Indianola for Centerville on Day 4 of RAGBRAI.

INDIANOLA, Iowa - Thousands of cyclists are leaving Indianola this morning on Day 4 of RAGBRAI.

Bicycles were all over city streets and roads this morning as riders started the longest single-day stretch of the week-long journey across Iowa.

Cyclists are expected in Centerville by this evening, a trek that will cover at least 84 miles. Some cyclists will take longer routes.

From Centerville, the large group will head to Fairfield on Day 5 and then travel to Burlington for its final evening stop on Day 6.

The Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa ends on Saturday in Keokuk.
