A Sigourney man is pleading not guilty of killing his girlfriend’s four-month-old baby.
Johnny Dale Jr., who's charged with first-degree murder, has also waived his right to a speedy trial.
WHO-TV reports the baby boy died at a hospital after his mother found him unresponsive
Investigators say Dale admitted to bouncing the baby on an air mattress in an effort to get him to stop crying.
Dale was arrested in June. His jury trial is set for November 19th at the Mahaska County Courthouse.
