DES MOINES, Iowa -- Des Moines police say an early morning liquor store robbery didn't turn up any cash, just an arrest for a Pleasant Hill woman.
"For whatever reason, she didn't stick around long enough to receive that," said Des Moines Police Sergeant Paul Parizek. "She left the store before the clerk was able to produce any money." Parizek says police were able to catch up with the suspect quickly.
"The clerk did a great job and got a good description of the vehicle...our officers were able to locate the car about two miles from the scene," Parizek says 45-year-old Windy Nicodemus is charged with first-degree robbery, she's been booked into the Polk County jail.
