Food & Drink Update: Kit Kat Donuts, Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew

Listeners to my segments with Van & Bonnie know that I love KitKats and I love Pumpkin Spice. In fact, Bonnie often gifts me with KitKats either for Christmas or from her trips around the world. Van has given me KitKat coffee mugs as a Christmas surprise, and he loves seeing me use them all the time. And, of course, Bonnie loves to tantalize me with new pumpkin spice news.

Now we get to combine the two topics in this update: Krispy Kreme is introducing TWO KitKat donuts - while Starbucks is debuting pumpkin spice cold brew. There's a catch: only ONE of these items is available in the US.

The KitKat donuts are only available in the United Kingdom.

If you happen to be across the pond, you can enjoy the new chocolate-dipped Original Glazed doughnut topped with a milk chocolate Kit Kat bite or the white chocolate version that comes with a white chocolate Kit Kat bite on top. They’re available now through October 13th, so there’s plenty of time to book a spontaneous holiday if you really need to nibble on these.

Happily, the Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew is available for US.

This is the first pumpkin drink from Starbucks that’s only available cold and it’s their first take on the PSL since it arrived in stores the first time way back in 2003. The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is made with Starbucks cold brew coffee, vanilla, and a float of pumpkin cream cold foam - which is vanilla sweet cream frothed and mixed with a little pumpkin spice sauce - and it’s sprinkled with pumpkin spice topping.

I am not normally a fan of cold brews - I've gotten a few stares from baristas for ordering a hot drink on a hot drink...but I do think I'll try this one. I'll let you know what I think.
