Two people arrested for Tuesday night shooting

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Two people from Grimes are facing charges for last night's shooting at a liquor store on Des Moines south side.

"We still haven't got a real good idea what the motive for this was...we haven't got a lot of real straight-forward factual statements," says Sgt. Paul Parizek with the Des Moines police department.

He does say they have enough evidence to charge 21-year-old Corey Brown and 24-year-old Charity Ramer with attempted murder. The two have been booked into the Polk County jail.

Two people were shot late Tuesday night, police say one man is in the hospital and the second left before talking to investigators. Both are expected to survive.
