CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa- A 19 year old woman from Cedar Rapids has life-threatening injuries after a single vehicle crash west of J Street and 66th Avenue SW at 2:09 a.m. this morning.
Police say 19-year-old Amadea Marline Temple had been driving a 2010 Suzuki Kizashi , which was found fully involved in fire in an open field just west of the intersection. A bystander had removed the lone occupant of the vehicle. Police officers immediately began emergency care on the victim.
Temple was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Police say Temple was also identified as a suspect involved in striking several vehicles in a parking lot in the 200 block of Kirkwood Court SW prior to the crash near J Street and 66thAvenue SW.
There is an ongoing investigation into both the accident and the hit-and-run incidents.
