OMAHA, Nebraska - It looks like we may see more rain, even heavy rain in the next two weeks, adding to flooding in the Missouri River basin that runs along the Nebraska and Iowa border.
The National Weather Service in Omaha says the best chance of storms and rain this weekend is on Saturday, then again Tuesday. There will be a continuing chance of heavy rain into the next week for the four state region that includes Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota.
The National Weather Service in Des Moines say the greater storm risk on Saturday runs from south of Omaha and Council Bluffs into Central Iowa mainly in the mid to late afternoon Saturday. There is a chance of up to golf-ball size hail, strong winds, and possibly a weak tornado or two.
