An often twisted yet hysterical comic MAY BE returning after a long, long absence.
The last new “The Far Side” was released nearly a quarter-century ago in 1995 when creator Gary Larson decided it was time to retire the popular absurdist strip. His website has sat dormant since 2000. That changed this week with a new redesign, featuring a man thawing out cows and other regular Far Side characters with a blow torch and a message: "Uncommon, unreal, and (soon-to-be) unfrozen. A new online era of The Far Side is coming!"
I say "MAY BE" because I keep returning to the website, but there's been no further updates. So while there is widespread reports that the cryptic message means the comic is returning, we REALLY DON'T KNOW. But we can hope...
