IOWA CITY, Iowa - Iowa City police say the driver who hit a student in a district-owned vehicle did not violate Iowa law for leaving the scene.
KCRG-TV9 reports there was a camera onboard the van that shows what happened leading up to the crash but the Iowa City Schools has refused to release any records connected to the incident.
Outgoing school board member Phil Hemingway says the video has been made available to board members.
The district has said it placed the driver on administrative leave the day after the incident.
