A Winter Storm Brings A Record Temperature Swing In Denver

I was recently filling in for Simon Conway when severe weather hit, due to the arrival of a cold front. Trent Rice, Sue Danielson, and I were reporting temperatures in the 70s and 80s in some sections of the state, while temps plummeted to the 60s in others.

But that's NOTHING compared to what happened in Denver due to a large winter storm that’s pummeling the Northern tier of the country.

The "potentially historic October winter storm" is bringing snow and record cold to the Northern Rockies and Northern Plains. The National Weather Service says the storm could hit parts of ten states. Up to half a foot of snow had fallen on parts of Colorado by Thursday afternoon, after Denver set a temperature drop record for October, from a high of 83 on Wednesday to only 19 on Thursday.

For the record, I am okay with snow - until December 25. Then I'd like it to go back to Spring on the 26th.
