I ran across an article that said Americans are spending $490K on pet costumes this Halloween. It goes on to say that 29 million people are expected to dress up their pets next week....and that comes out to half a billion dollars spent on costumes! So either the $490K is wrong or the half-billion dollars is wrong. I tend to think the $490K is wrong, because later it says the total spending on two-legged costumes combined with four-legged costumes is $9 Billion dollars.
