Near record cold blast coming Monday into Tuesday MAP

OMAHA, Nebraska - Record cold temperature records will be challenged Monday into Tuesday from Omaha through Des Moines, Ames, Cedar Rapids, Davenport, and then throughout the Northeastern United States.

A blast of cold air will push into the region late Sunday, and by Monday we'll have some of the coldest weather on record throughout the region.

Low temperature records may also be set as overnight lows drop into the single digits across the region.
