Man faces numerous charges after 80 mph chase through Waterloo

EVANSDALE, Iowa - An Evansdale man faces numerous charges after a high-speed chase through Waterloo yesterday.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that 33 year old Brittyn Nagel is charged with eluding, second-degree burglary and forgery.

At about 3 p.m. on Thursday, police tried to stop Nagel on Broadway Street but he took off in his SUV.

The chase stretched to the northern edge of Waterloo, at speeds up to 80 miles per hour.

Nagel is suspected of breaking into a truck repair store in Waterloo in August, where he previously worked, stealing a gun and checks.
