Biden's 'No Malarkey' Bus Tour In Iowa Mocked

Former Vice-president and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is getting attention for his new 'No Malarkey' campaign slogan, printed on the side of his tour bus.

But, the problem is it's not all of it is positive attention. Biden is being mocked for using the word malarkey, a word that critics say no one under Biden's age of 77 has rarely heard before.

Iowa GOP Rapid Response Director Steve Guest tweeted that "it's not a great slogan when you have to put the dictionary definition of the word on the side of your bus."

The former Vice President has been dropping in the Iowa polls recently. This is part of an eight-day swing through the Hawkeye State with the clock ticking toward the Iowa caucuses.

Biden's campaign maintains he has a broad base of support in the state that ultimately will translate into a surprising delegate haul heading into later primaries and caucuses elsewhere.

Biden kicked off his bus tour in Council Bluffs over the weekend. He will be in Ames Wednesday and will wrap up his tour at a Teamsters forum in Cedar Rapids Saturday.

Other candidates in Iowa this week include Indiana mayor Pete Buttigieg and senators Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris.
