The body of a 21-year-old man has been recovered after he fell through the ice on a pond near Mohawk Park In Cedar Rapids.
KCRG-TV 9 reports the body of the unidentified man was pulled from the water around 7:40 p.m. Sunday. He was found around 120 yards from the shore and had been under water for almost two hours.
Cedar Rapids Police told TV 9 search crews were called out around 6:00 Sunday evening after reports of two teenagers and a 21 year old man falling through the ice.
Police say the 14 and 17 year old victims were able to get out of the water, but the 21 year old man remain submerged. The teens called 911 to get help for the man, but it was too late.
