DES MOINES, Iowa - Police say a man, a woman and a child were hit by bullets as they drove in the 4800 block of University Avenue.
Investigators say all three are expected to survive.
The eight-year-old child was shot in the foot and two adults are in the hospital.
Police say the victims drove to an apartment building at Hickman and 63rd before calling 9-1-1 for help.
