DES MOINES, Iowa - A light wintry mix is projected to linger over Iowa Wednesday night thru Friday, which will bringing additional light snow accumulations to mainly central and eastern Iowa.
The National Weather Service says temperatures should hover near freezing, although any small change in temperature could change the type of precipitation and affect snow accumulations.
Slick travel conditions are possible, especially on untreated roadways.
Meanwhile, expect dense fog in much of western and central Iowa Thursday night. It's projected to persist through much of Thursday morning.
Reduced visibility could affect travel, particularly during the Thursday morning commute. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect from 9 p.m. Wednesday thru 12 noon Thursday.
