New Charges Against Man Accused Hitting An Omaha Building

OMAHA, Nebraska - A Council Bluffs man is facing more charges after he drove his vehicle into the Omaha Public School Headquarters at 32nd and Cuming Street on January 11th.

55 year old Timothy Trimble had been booked for assaulting an officer and reckless driving to avoid arrest. Investigators now say they found enough methamphetamine in his vehicle to be considered a dealer. He is now charged with possession of meth with intent to deliver and for illegally possessing an anxiety medication.

WOWT 6 News reports that Trimble was behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling 15 to 20 MPH with an Omaha police officer hanging on to his steering wheel. That is when the vehicle hit the building.

Officer Tammy Philips was thrown away from the vehicle while Trimble tried to get out the passenger door. He was arrested by Officer Philips’ partner. Officer Philips was not seriously hurt and went back to work the next day.

Trimble is being held on a $500,000 bond and remains in the Douglas County Jail. He will be back in court next month.
