Klobuchar makes fast stop in Council Bluffs during impeachment trial

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - Democratic presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar made a fast campaign stop in Council Bluffs Tuesday night.

The Minnesota senator says she used a break in President Trump's impeachment trial to make the trip.

WOWT-TV reports Klobuchar supporters packed into Barley's Bar in downtown Council Bluffs on four hours notice.

She's now back in Washington where Senators are submitting written questions in impeachment trial today and tomorrow.

An Emerson College poll this week has Klobuchar surging to third in Iowa at 13 percent, behind Bernie Sanders (30 percent) and Joe Biden (21 percent).
