Family Safe after Polk County House Fire

BONDURANT, Iowa- A mother and her four kids are safe after escaping a house fire in Polk County.

The county sheriff's office says the fire broke out in the 69-hundred block of Northeast 56th Street around 9:25 last night and deputies found the house engulfed in flames when they got there.

Three different fire departments responded to put out the fire.

The cause is unknown. The home is a complete loss as are the family's belongings.
