Vice President Pence Makes Campaign Stop In Council Bluffs

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - A large crowd gathered at a former mall in Council Bluffs today to hear from Vice President Mike Pence. He is on a campaign tour through Iowa before Monday's caucus.

WOWT 6 News reports that the focus today was on veterans.

Pence said the Trump Administration heard those in V-A hospitals were not getting the care they needed and deserved. Because of the changes this Administration has made, more than eight-thousand employees have been fired for negligent behavior. He went on to say veterans benefits are compensation for wearing the uniform of the United States of America.

Not on the table was the impeachment hearings but Pence did have a quick say calling it a sham.

Following the campaign stop in Council Bluffs, Pence traveled to Des Moines to join President Trump at a rally at Drake University.
