DES MOINES, Iowa - A person is critically injured from a hit and run near Drake University last night.
Police say a mini-van hit a pedestrian on 33rd Street just west of Drake around 9:30 last night and drove off.
Officers arrived to find 71-year-old Stephanie Markert in the roadway, suffering from multiple injuries.
She was taken to Mercy Hospital where she remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Police are asking for the public's help in locating a Maroon-colored 2001 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, Iowa license plate H Z J 0 1 2.
