ARL Says Severely Injured Cat Ready for Foster Care

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Animal Rescue League of Iowa says a severely injured cat that was found crying by a Des Moines Police Officer is ready for a foster home.

The league says Dawn was alone in the cold, severely burned and crying in pain when a officer rushed her to their shelter.

It's not known what happened to the cat, but she was covered in soot, had trouble breathing and could barely open one eye upon arrival.

The rescue league says the cat is lucky to be alive. She arrived at the Animal Rescue League earlier this week.
