OMAHA, Nebraska - Orange barrels will start going up on the I-680 Bridge, better known as the Mormon Bridge over the Missouri River between Nebraska and Iowa.
Nebraska Department of Transportation reports the westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane on the bridge starting Monday, March 9 at 7 a.m.
The lane reduction is necessary for repairs and painting.
This will be an extended construction project and it won't be finished until the fall of 2020.
The DOT reminds drivers to use caution in construction zones.
