No Risk Of Coronavirus Exposure To Public At Council Bluffs Panera Bread

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - There is no risk of coronavirus exposure to the general public at the Panera Bread restaurant in Council Bluffs.

Pottawattamie County Public Health received a number of questions about if there is a public risk of coronavirus exposure at a Panera Bread restaurant in Council Bluffs.

This is follows an employee at the location testing positive for coronavirus Monday. She had recently traveled to California and went to a hospital Saturday with symptoms. The woman was last listed in stable condition and was in quarantine at home.

In a news release from Pottawattamie County Public Health:

County Health officials say there is no public health recommendation from the Iowa Department of Public Health or Pottawattamie County Public Health for customers at local or other Panera Bread locations in Iowa to self-monitor or quarantine themselves.

It is recommended that all community members continue to practice good hygiene; this will help

protect people from both influenza and COVID-19:

• Clean your hands frequently with soap and water.

• Cover coughs and sneezes with your elbow or upper arm.

• Contain germs by staying home when ill.
