A Bettendorf man has been arrested after police say he groped an Uber driver early Sunday morning.
KWQC-TV 6 reports around 12:30 a.m. Sunday the ride 31 year old Clinton Calfee was getting was canceled halfway through for unknown reasons. According to a police affidavit the driver pulled over and told Calfee he had to call Uber support to see what was going on.
The report indicates that while the driver was on his phone, Calfee leaned into the driver’s seat and groped him.
The driver pushed his hand away and told Calfee to get out of the vehicle, which he eventually did, according to the affidavit.
The driver then left. Officers located Calfee at the same location he was dropped off at. KWQC-TV 6 reports a preliminary breath test determined he had a blood alcohol level of .238.
