DES MOINES, Iowa - A visitor to Principal Financial Group's downtown Des Moines office has tested positive for Covid-19/coronavirus.
The company says it has alerted employees and other tenants in the building. People working there have been asked to self-quarantine while a deep clean is being started Friday.
Principal Financial owns the 44-story building at 801 Grand Avenue, which is the tallest structure in Des Moines. The international retirement services company is locally based and in one of the metro area's largest employers, with 6,500 workers.
