AMES, Iowa - Iowa State University is gathering up personal protective equipment for healthcare workers to help in the fight against COVID-19 coronavirus.
Employees have rounded up 200 respirators, masks, gloves, and gowns.
I-S-U's Small Animal Hospitalis also offering its ventilator for human use if needed as well.
In addition, a team of ISU architecture students are operating 30 3D printers to manufacture face shields for healthcare workers during the pandemic. That work is taking place at ISU's College of Design’s Computation and Construction Lab.
