DES MOINES, Iowa - A woman is dead after being shot while in a car near 33rd and Kingman Boulevard on Friday afternoon.
Police say the woman was in a car with her 17-year-old daughter when she was shot. The daughter called 9-1-1
Emergency crews located the car and transported the mother to a hospital where she later died. Police are still working to identify a suspect.
This is eighth homicide in Des Moines in 2020.
