Dr. Fauci Approves Iowa COVID-19 Efforts, Despite No Stay At Home Order

WASHINGTON, DC - America's top infectious disease doctor seems to be happy with the way Iowa's responded to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.

On Monday, Doctor Anthony Fauci said he's spoken with Governor Kim Reynolds and Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts.

The Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases says even though Iowa doesn't have an official stay at home order, the measures the state's taking are equivalent.

Iowa has not issued a stay at home order, although 42 other states have. Governor Reynolds says Iowa has not met that threshold yet. Fauci said Monday said Iowa is on the same page as other states he's giving advice to in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
