DES MOINES, Iowa - A Des Moines man is charged with attempted murder after police found a man with a gunshot wound.
The Des Moines Police Department responded to a shooting last night at an apartment complex near the 5000 block of southwest 9th Street.
Officers found a 40-year-old resident with a gunshot wound to his upper torso and first responders took him to Methodist Hospital.
Police say they were given information about a suspect by witnesses at the scene of the shooting.
That person was found less than 90 minutes later and arrested. Police detectives were called in to continue the investigation.
40 year old Des Moines resident Littleton Clark has been charged with one count of Attempted Murder. He also has an existing warrant for Felon In Possession Of A Firearm.
