DES MOINES, Iowa -- Iowa is, again, seeing it's largest single-day increase in new COIVD-19 coronavirus cases.
The Iowa Department of Public Health reported on Tuesday 482 new virus cases--33 percent from meat processing plants that are being identified as outbreak hot spots.
Public Health is also confirming four additional deaths--all from long term care facilities.
The state says 10 percent of Iowa's cases and 51 percent of deaths are coming from those centers.
COVID-19 coronavirus has killed 83 people in Iowa.
IDPH says 214 people are hospitalized with the virus--89 of them in intensive care units. .
The state has more than 3,600 cases. Nearly 1,300 people have recovered from the virus.
