Iowa adds six deaths and 176 new coronavirus cases

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Iowa is approaching 100 deaths and 4,000 cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The state Department of Public Health says the virus has killed six more people, bringing Iowa's death toll to 96.

With 176 new cases, Iowa's total climbs to 3,924. Nearly 1,500 people have recovered from the virus.

Right now, 282 people are hospitalized with the virus, 102 of them are in an ICU.

Public Health says there are now 12 long term care facilities with virus outbreaks.
