DES MOINES, Iowa -- The state health department Friday reports eleven more people have died from the COVID-19 coronavirus. It brings the state's death toll to 107 people.
IDPH says Friday's 521 new cases brings Iowa's total number of cases to 4,445. So far, 1,605 people have recovered from the virus.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds said Thursday of the more than 30,000 Iowans tested, 13 percent came back positive, compared to the national testing rate of nearly 18.5 percent positive.
