DES MOINES, Iowa- An organization that deploys health care workers to help in emergencies, is asking Iowa nurses to consider volunteering during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Lisa Stewart of I-SERV was part of today's briefing with Iowa officials. She says now is the time for nurses to support their colleagues. Stewart says volunteers are supporting care givers in long term care facilities and helping with COVID-19 testing.
The organization's website states there are more than 35-hundred health care providers who volunteer with the program.
