DES MOINES, Iowa -- Iowa has another single-day high number of COVID-19 coronavirus deaths.
The Iowa Department of Public Health said Thursday 14 more people have died from COVID-19, overtaking Wednesday's single-day high of 12 deaths. The virus has now killed 162 people in Iowa.
Public Health also says there are 302 new cases, bringing the state's total to 7,145 cases.
The department also says 38 percent of Iowans infected with COVID-19 coronavirus have recovered.
Currently 335 people are hospitalized with the virus, 121 are in intensive care units.
