One Injured in Officer Involved Shooting in Marshalltown

Marshalltown, Iowa - One person's injured from an officer-involved shooting in Marshalltown early this morning.

Marshalltown Police Chief Michael Tupper says the incident happened around 4:20 a.m. after officers were called to a disturbance in the 600 block of Summit Street.

What led to the shooting has not been released, but police say an adult male was shot by a Marshalltown police officer.

The man was transported to a hospital and his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

No officers were injured in the incident. AN investigation is ongoing. Marshalltown police expect to release more information later today.
