The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is keeping an eye on how many people are camping now that state parks are back open.
The DNR says people are still responsible for maintaining correct group sizes and other orders that have been given. State park campsite reservations are expected to get busy again now that COVID-19 coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
The D-N-R's Todd Coffelt says while campsite restrooms are open, it's still a good idea to bring in with you everything you and your family will need while camping in a state park. He says campers can make reservations 90 days out.
Overall 2020 isn't turning out to be how the Iowa Department of Natural Resources expected to celebrate the 100th anniversary of it's state parks.
