DES MOINES, Iowa - The Animal Rescue League (ARL) of Iowa is asking for help after it's taken in kittens it says were placed in a box and set on fire.
The league's asking for donations to perform surgery on the kittens today.
Tuesday, it assisted Des Moines Police is helping a cat that had severe stab wounds.
21-year-old Rosemary Buelow has is charged with "Animal Torture" in that case. The ARL says the injured cat and two others are being cared for the ARL. They say the injured cat may need surgery.
