WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - A West Des Moines man faces charges after being accused of slamming a seven-month old child into a crib and causing serious injury.
Nineteen-year-old Cesar Corona Lopez is charged with child felony endangerment and is being held in the Polk County Jail with no bond.
WHO-TV reports Corona Lopez admitted to slamming the child into the crib at his home in the 1100 bock of 11th Street in West Des Moines.
Doctors at Blank Children’s Hospital alerted police Thursday that the child has suffered fractures to his right femur and behind his right ear.
A police detective interviewed Corona Lopez and the child’s mother before making the arrest. It's not clear what the relationship is between Corona Lopez and the mother
