IndyCar Race at Iowa Speedway Will Allow Fans in Seats

NEWTON, Iowa - INDYCAR has announced that spectators will be allowed to attend its race at the Iowa Speedway in Newton.

In a post on its website, INDYCAR announced that fans will be welcomed for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES Iowa 250 races and the ARCA Menards Series race. The events will feature two INDYCAR night time races on Friday, July 17th and Saturday, July 18th, along with an ARCA Menards Series during the afternoon of Saturday, July 18th.

The Iowa Speeedway has 25,000 seats. Roughly 5,000 to 6,000 tickets will be available for the races there. INDYCAR races the prior weekend in Lake Elkhart, Wisconsin will also allow fans in seats. The first two INDYCAR events, including the upcoming July 4th race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will not have spectators.

There will be a limited number of tickets available or the races at Iowa Speedway, and each group of fans in attendance will be separated by six feet.

There will be temperature checks for fans before entering parking areas, and only essential personnel will have access to the infield. Hand sanitizer and face coverings will be distributed to each guest when they enter the track.
