Davenport Star Spangled Extravaganza cancelled due to COVID

DAVENPORT, Iowa -- Another summer event lost to the COVID-19 pandemic. Davenport's Star Spangled Extravaganza is being postponed.

The riverfront fireworks was scheduled for July 3 as a summer replacement after the annual Red, White, & Boom was cancelled earlier this year, but with the rising number of coronavirus cases, the Scott County Health Department is recommending the city postpone the event.

No new date has been set, yet.

The Scott County Public Health Department is recommending people continue to avoid large gatherings and keep social distancing rules of at least six feet between people and between family groups.
