DES MOINES, Iowa - A man faces charges after the Transportation Security Administration says it found a handgun in his bag at the Des Moines International Airport.
TSA says a Polk County man was stopped by officers after they spotted a 9mm handgun loaded with 14 bullets in his carry-on bag last Thursday.
Des Moines Police confiscated the firearm and cited the unnamed man on a weapons charge after it was spotted in an x-ray machine..
It's the second firearm confiscated in the past couple of weeks after a Dallas County man was caught with a loaded weapon there in June 25th.
