ROSEMONT, Illinois -- It doesn't look like there will be a Cy-Hawk football game this year.
The Big 10 Conference announcing Thursday that all it's non-conference football games are being cancelled.
The conference says the move is being made to help stem the spread of COVID-19.
A cancellation of Iowa's non-conference schedule means games against Northern Iowa, Iowa State, and Northern Illinois won't be played.
The Hawkeyes were scheduled to open the season September 5th against UNI. The Iowa State game was set for the next weekend at Kinnick Stadium.
