WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - Families in West Des Moines will have several choices as classes start-up for the next school year.
The district is holding a virtual town hall Thursday night from 7:00-to-8:30 pm where three options will be detailed in its Return to Learn plan.
Students can attend school online, on-site in physical classrooms or choose a combination of both. They'll also be able to make a choice between the options every semester.
The district say its might restrict on-site classes at any point over safety concerns for students and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A survey of parents shows nearly half - 48 percent - prefer to send their kids to physical classrooms full-time.
The district says it'll have enhanced health and safety measures in place for on-site learning. West Des Moines Schools will start classes August 26th.
