A blank absentee ballot request form will be sent to every single registered voter in Iowa this fall for the general election.
The Iowa Legislative Council voted unanimously to allow Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate to send out the forms to voters for the November election.
The council initially decided against allowing Pate to send absentee ballot forms back in June.
Pate said in a statement "This process worked great in the June primary and I believe it will work in the general election.”
