Parade of cars and tombstones at Iowa Governor's mansion demanding masks

Dozens of cars with messages like "Mask up Iowa", and "Be kind, wear a mask", paraded in circles around Terrace Hill, the Governor’s Mansion in Des Moines during afternoon drive time today.

One message read "Close the schools", after Governor Kim Reynolds announced today that Iowa schools would be open at least 50% this fall.

Earlier this week on the Simon Conway show, Governor Reynolds said she would not issue a mask mandate, saying she trusts Iowans to be responsible, and that there's no way to enforce a mandate on masks.

The protesters also put up cardboard tombstones in the lawn.

They were wearing masks, even those inside the cars.
