GRUNDY COUNTY, Iowa - The Iowa State Patrol says it's investigating a crash that injured four people, including two children.
The head-on crash happened around 6:30am Tuesday morning.
Investigators say one car was driven by 34 year old Becky Ann Matthews, which hit another car head-on, driven by 20 year old Madison Robinson. According to investigators, Matthews admitted to having worked a 12 hour shift before driving and being tired during the drive.
Robinson and her 8 year-old son had to be extricated from the car by emergency crews.
All four people, including Robinson' two children, were taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
