Des Moines Downtown Farmers' Market Hosting 'Bite Size' Drive Through

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Downtown Farmers’ Market is hosting a drive-through market starting next weekend.

It's announced a Drive-Through Bite-Size Market taking place every Saturday from 8 – 11 a.m. at the Iowa State Capitol complex parking lot at E. 13th and E. Grand Avenue in Des Moines.

Organizers say the drive-through option will operate through October 31st. Customers can pre-order items from farmers' market vendors online and pick them up onsite at the drive through location the following Saturday. The market says customers can also purchase items onsite, but must remain in their cars.

The traditional outdoor Downtown Farmers' Market has not taken place this year over COVID-19 concerns. The first event was originally scheduled to take place on May 2nd.
